THE ABANDONED SLAUGHTERHOUSE
FIRST OF ALL, CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THIS PLACE IS STILL STANDING?
This is the perfect location for a horror film with a story that is worthy of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. There are two big problems about using this place. First of all, does it still exist and can I find it?? Second, trying to get permission to shoot there, at least exteriors and maybe shooting interiors elsewhere. The place is rotting away and is supposed to be dangerous, also the police will arrest anyone who goes near it. I have found no records of anyone visiting the place since 2002. But anyway, here's the story:
There was a farmer who worked in the slaughterhouse and owned all the farmland near it. But one day, the government forced him to move out, because they were building an asylum on the same land. The farmer got so angry, that he went insane and got committed to that very same asylum. Shortly afterwards, he escaped and was never found again. The slaugtherhouse still stood and many people said they heard the sounds of pigs being butcherd there. The police went to investigate and never came back. The next morning, their bodies were found in the slaughterhouse hanging on meat hooks and their heads were chopped off. Whoever did it also choppsed off the heads of some pigs and put them onto the police officers' bodies. People who have dared to venture near the Slaughterhouse at night, say that they have been chased by the crazy old farmer who still lurks there.
